But this is the inevitable downfall of any good show...the essence of it gets lost in advertising, plugs, and ratings...I liked the show when they were poor, in an LA flat, with one camera man! At least it was reality!
Product placement is becoming more and more common, and Proctor & Gamble (Cover Girl's parent) is REALLY blatant with it - as evidenced by the characters on Guiding Light eating mass amounts of Pringles for no reason. I'd rather go back to the 1950's when they sat behind a big panel that said GERITOL and had the host plug the product for 5 minutes halfway through the show, rather than doing as they do on ANTM and thinking they are being subtle about it.
