I don't know enough about the guy to come to a conlcusion as to what his intentions were/are. I don't think it's fair to assume a lot of stuff that you don't know for sure, then proceed to indict someone based on those assumptions. Unless you live in Durham County, I'm not sure where some of ya'll pick that up.

What I get is that he's actually interested in going back through Rush. A good friend of mine (fellow founding member) quit one of the more established fraternities on our campus primarily due to the severe hazing, and in part due to the fact that the house was probably a health hazard. He ended up being President of our chapter (he was President of his pledge class before he quit).

Sometimes people have legitimate reasons for dropping. The bottom line is that he didn't enjoy his experience. I don't want anyone in my fraternity who isn't enjoying the overall experience. There is no guarantee that anyone will have a good time all the time in whatever chapter they are in. In fact, such an expectation isn't realistic.

At any rate, I wish him luck on trying to find a new home.
