This may be a dumb question...but how do pre-nups really work?
Other than the couples not having to pay alimony and being able to keep their stuff after they split.
How does this work with things purchased together?
I'm kind of ignorant on this topic. My parents split, did not have a pre-nup but my Dad seemed to have gotten the better bargain after the divorce. Mom made significantly less than he did and all he was required was to pay child support.
In cases like this, I would not know if a pre-nup would have been a good or bad thing.
