We have an artifical tree...and I've never had a real one in the house. It's actually really beautiful. The cheapest ones you get the day after christmas, but that wont help you here. I'd suggest getting the nicest one you can find, and they can get pretty well made now days- they look almost real, minus the messy pine needles everwhere.
You pay a lot, perhaps, but a good tree will last you years and years. the one before the one we have this year...my mother had since she first got married...maybe before then.
So, these tree's might not be real, but I'ts gonna last you a good twenty years.
