Its not the fact that its a sweatshirt, although you're right it doesnt get very cold...No I think its just plain tacky. Not just sweatshirts or hoody's but "jersey" type lettered shirts as well. Someone said that in that case any logo that takes up the entire shirt would be "tacky." To that, I say you are absolutely correct. I do not distinguish between them. On my campus, and many I've been to, you can pretty much identify the greeks easily, even when they aren't letters.
That is exactly what I was getting at. Imagine if you saw someone walking around campus with that new Lacoste halter on that has the GIANT alligator on the front. You would think, "she's desperate and really wants everyone to know that she is wearing a Lacoste shirt." Anything with a huge apparent logo is just unneccesary.

And to the girl who said she didn't believe my story because I go to KU, you are confused. We have an extremely strong Greek system, my chapter just celebrated 125 years and that is a part of why we do what we do. We have respect for our letters. They are your letters! They probably mean a whole lot to you and have deep meaning. Why put them on a measly t-shirt that is hot pink with polka dot letters? It doesn't seem right.

The Betas here on campus won't wear their letters or put their letters on absolutely anything, in respect to them.
