About AOII's expansion at the U. of Arkansas, specifically, a news report on U. of Arkansas Board of Trustees actions says that the trustees have approved the construction of a new AOII sorority house there. The plans are for a 30,000 square foot house with 85 beds at a cost of $7 to $8 million. The trustees have approved the architects and construction company, as well as a land lease arrangement. The article headline is "University of Arkansas Board of Trustees Notes," and the AOII news has a secondary headline (scroll down) "Board Approves New Sorority House."

So it looks like housing is in the works! I thought this article was also interesting for the insight it gives on some of the the potential cost of expansion at a major SEC school. (By the way, there's also an article on trustee approval of a Sigma Nu fraternity house in the same "notes" of the trustees' meeting.)

This information is incorrect. No plans have been finalized at this time, and the cost estimate is not even ballpark.
