1) Would each room have it's own phone line, or would everyone share a line in a common room?
Yes, although our house is owned by the school, we have our own phone/ethernet/cable system. If there are two roommates--same thing. Each person has their own phone and internet connection.
2) Do your houses have curfews?
Since the University doesn't have curfews, we really don't.
3) Are guests allowed to stay over (non sorority members), if so where do they stay?
Usually in members' rooms, and we have a library we've converted to a guest room when we have those all-important guests from Nationals come to visit.
4) Are guys allowed to stay over?
Because it's University Housing, there's no RULE against it. We have rules about guys in our personal areas (ie, library, lounges) past a certain hour, but men are allowed to stay over. I don't know how I feel about this, outside of visitors...not someone's boyfriend who has his own damned room.
5) Can individual rooms get cable, or is there usually a TV room?
Each person, regardless of how many people are in a room, can get their own cable. I've heard this is a pretty posh living situation for a university, so we're lucky.
Also, we have neither housemothers or a cook. Our house is adjacent to a dining hall, so we have direct access. Our school's kinda weird that way.
