I would argue that there have been many before this incident that have willingly made the choice to risk their lives. CIA, FBI, Special ops forces, etc.
I mean, does the majority of the American public truly know what really happened on the flight? No.
We find it quite romantic that a certain number of people would do what was depicted in this special but that's exactly how it was made to look, romantic, patriotic and courageous. Do we even know for a fact that the plane indeed crashed and wasn't shot down by military fighter jets?
Many witnesses seem to think that the latter was what happened that fateful day.
I watched this show and I wasn't ok with it. We'll never truly know how these people were feeling during this horrible time.
In any event, it was hard to watch...
