I just hung out with my best friend from high school last night and she said that when she was on Ortho-Tricycline, it messed with her mood so much that she became severely depressed to the point of being suicidal. The doctors could not figure out a physical cause to this until they realized she was on bc (why didn't they ask her what meds she was taking?!?) They took her off and put her on Yasmin and her symptoms cleared up almost immediately.
Another girl we graduated with ended up the same way and the doctors said if she talks about suicide again, they'll have to hospitalize her. My friend asked her if she was on Ortho (again, the doctors DID NOT ask her) and advised her to switch. She talked to her parents about trying a different pill. I'm waiting to hear if it that will fix it.
