I'm not saying whats happened since then was for the better but even the article says rules were laxed a bit in the 90s so you could buy CDs and DVDs in the markets. You'd walk through the streets and stores would be playing music outside. I'm sure thats not going to happen anymore. I'm sure they'll start cracking down on women's attire next....that was something else that had eased up a bit. It was just those little things that had improved that made the regular person's life a bit more bearable.
