I think the Governor should commute the death sentence to life in prison w/out possibility of parole for the following reasons:
1. You should not apply a "perfect" solution to an "imperfect" process.
2. historically, studies have shown that the death penalty is racially applied. If the decedent is white, the chances are greater than average that the death penalty will be imposed.
3. To make a person live knowing that they will never breathe free air for the rest of their natural life should be about as deep a penalty as the state has a right to impose.
4. You know, the divas of DST are also discussing this over on their page. And one of em asked me to invite you over there. Really.
