Well, duh! The guy flew into NY, found out he couldn't buy ammo, flew
out of NY, bought the ammo, then flew back to NYC! The night before, he also checked into a deluxe (at the time) hotel, and ordered a hooker - just like The Catcher In The Rye. He was thrilled that the hooker was wearing green, just like The Catcher In The Rye, too.
