I had a nice wedding but allot of our money went on building our house because after the wedding you have to have a place to live. Don't let those high consultants fool you. You can have a beautiful, classy wedding with a modest budget.
Preach! I am telling you, it was the best decision I ever made. It was VERY little stress, I paid about a tenth (maybe a little more) of what the national avereage wedding costs. The cons are, getting people out to where you want to have your wedding. You may have to give up the idea of EVERYONE being able to go. But that is also a pro. You won't have to worry about paying $30 per plate (or more) for your mama's cousin's auntie's best friends's mailman who you have never met to come to your wedding. I really suggest for any bride, whether they are having their wedding in the US or abroad to KISS. Keep It Simple, Stupid!
That is, unless you are ballin' like that!
