Also just because something (if it was indeed) was consensual doesn't mean that it was concensual the last time. I always hate that they bring up peoples sexual history when talking about rape.... but I guess that everyone is allowed to defend themselves.

I know it's the job of a defense lawyer to defend his clients using any tactic available to him....but I still couldn't sleep at night if I said some of the things that Summers did.
And shame on that student for insinuating that the victim "asked for it." I hope the women at UT Chattanooga steer clear of him. His comment reminded me of a kid I took sociology with one semester. He seemed like a nice enough guy until we talked about date rape one day and he adamantly insisted that if women dress a certain way/drink a lot/have reputations as being easy, they shouldn't be surprised if they get raped. He then went on to say that a victim has an easy reputation, it's grounds for dismissal of the rape case because "you can't tell if chicks like that are lying."
After that, the women in that class avoided him like the plague.
