The show was quite interesting. Am I the only one who thinks Terry McMillan with all her gestures is immature? I know she is hurt but good grief-- all of the rolling eyes and throwing her head back and around and around again was unnecessary and made her look foolish.

I do like her "matter of factness" and her "no holds barred nature" but I think she over did it with all the gestures and expressions.

The show was good! I can't believe how much of a punk azz Jonathan was for not answering her questions.

"People are hostile toward me in Jamaica right now. I would really love to go home to see my family"

Cry me a friggin river

I loved that Oprah called him out and asked why he deserved some of her money. Bruh man don't deserve jack

He really didn't have an excuse, he mentioned something about following the advice of his legal team, but that was it.

Ok - Terry looks so hurt by this that my heart aches for her. But, with all the looks - she looks like she's had a little sumpin' sumpin' b4 the show.... Do antidepressants make you that silly?

Jonathan - hot.mess. He has on lip gloss. Unless he was a heck of an actor, he does not just seem metro.

Body Language - you can see she still loves him. She's turned in towards him (unless they told her to do that. Perhaps silly = uncomfortable because the producers didn't want too hostile of a show and made them sit that way ).

I do think that there were times when either she was really uncomfortable, or actually connecting with the pain she was feeling instead of the anger. Did anyone else notice how she kind of retreated into herself at times, looking down at her hands, picking at her nails, etc.? Also sometimes in her face she looked more hurt than angry or like she was trying to control those expressions. Maybe that's why she came across as being so extra. I think the fact that she isn't always in the public eye has allowed for her to hold on to certain idiosyncracies and to have a harder time controlling them than if she were say, an actor who is trained to hide certain things that would betray their true feelings. Just a thought.

Wow, you've really thought this through!

No, but I agree...and I don't think she was being immature, I think she was being real. I saw the Tavis Smiley interview and I loved how blunt she was and how she wore her heart on her sleeve. It allowed for people to know that even 'strong, black woman, who supposely has it all together' can get hurt. I think a lot of people have grown from her acknowledgement of hurt. Everyone has a story to tell and I am glad she didn't but on a false face to tell hers.

I don't know Ms. McMillan from Adam's housecat, but I think that is just Terry. I have a co-worker that does the exact same thing - she is very animated, and will put you in your place so fast that it'll make your head spin. She gestures a lot, and her expressions show on her face. She is very passionate about whatever it is that she's talking about, and can hold her own with no problem.

I've seen several interviews with Terry, and she seems to be the same way in all of them.

Terry (from interviews) has always done those facial gestures even prior to the divorce. She's always been candid. Maybe she isn't comfortable in front of cameras? She's only really interviewed if she's discussing her new work. Maybe she needs to get someone in her camp to coach her about body language in front of the camera.

LOL@ Adam's Housecat! Who is Adam?

Damn - I hate I missed the show. I can't imagine how she was able to go on tv with this dude. O must have paid both of the them.

Terry should have knocked his ass into next week. But then again, I just don't see how she did not know. By the way, did O ask or say if her friends suggested he looked or may be gay. No matter how much success one has, each person still has some down to earth friends or something that will tell you what you need to know.

I caught the re-run last night and I think Johnathan is ridiculously immature. He is obviously still having issues with being gay and telling the truth. I hated the fact that he blaimed his behavior on his culture. Seemed like a really bad scapegoat. I think Terry is HILARIOUS, its obvious that she is still hurting but she'll be alright. I hope Johnathan gets counseling. I knew he was gay when I heard they were married. The eyebrows say it all.

The culture thing was an excuse. If you are in-the-closet homosexual, it is a problem for you here in America too (from what "they" say).

I gave Jon-Jon the "whatever" look. LOL
