Time to testify...What has He done for you lately?

My soul rejoices in my God, My spirit proclaims the greatness of the Lord! Holy is his Name!

I am grateful to the Lord because he brought me a mighty long way In 2003 i had

1. Got laid off from a well paying job
2. Needed surgery for fibroids again
3. Had no $ to put towards my wedding nor health insurance

I interviewed everywhere but no leads. In the meantime my health was getting worse. I figured it out that He would not grant me a new job until I had my surgery because that was the most important. After I did that, I got a temp job in the City's Pension dept. But I found a full time job and took that when my time was up. BUT the kicker was the place i wanted to work at called me as i was starting the new job. They told me to keep them in mind even I had found a job. Started the new job and they neglect to tell me they were moving waaay out of the area . So I called the people back on my first day to let them know I am interested and I got the job! I coudn't see His plan (wasn't for me to see, just experience) but I put all my trust in Him. Since then I have gotten married, been @ the company for almost 2 years and now we are thinking of buying a house sometime next year. So to those who are troubled and need deliverance I say to you:

"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD ."
Psalms 27:14

Had to bring this up again because I just recently had my final bout with fibroids and the Lord brought me through that surgery and I am better. We also have bought our house and have been in in it for almost 9 months and every day I go home I just say Thank You Lord for providing for me and mine.

I appreciate this thread, because we can't testify enough, about HIS greatness and how HE blesses us without hesitation, daily...

• It's amazing how GOD works HIS magic. When I landed here in Atlanta in June, I'd eventually end up homeless by July due to the fact that the homeowner of the house that I was renting ended up losing the home because, as he would admit to me, he wasn't paying the mortgage company for a couple of months prior to me arriving, because he hadn't been able to rent the house out, so they foreclosed on the property. For nearly 4 weeks, I was without shelter/a home, and you talk about long, cold, crazy nights, but GOD was great to me, like HE's always been, and I prayed constantly, and I ended up finding my footing, as HE granted me shelter/a home.

• When all seemed dreary right before GOD placed me in my new home, I was blessed and able to keep my job, and my co-workers never knew anything that I was going through. I'd joined a gym as soon as I moved here, so in order to shower, I'd go there to shower everyday during this ordeal. I kept my clothes in a closet at work in an empty office space, man, you talk about crazy, it was truly a trial and heavy tribulation, but I received a truly empowering phone call one day whereby I received news that my book was finished and "FINALLY!" ready for the world. Just a week after receiving this news, a guy from the book company emailed me, and shared with me that he had recommended to a Managing Editor, that they sponsor my book and enter it into one of the country's most amazing Literary contest, and that they were going to be sending it to the Pulitzer Prize committee on my behalf. A definite blessing, because my vision is to win this coveted literary prize, and as a matter of fact, I already claim victory of this prize, I'm just waiting on them to send me my award.

• Lastly, the most empowering things that kept me focused and strong, was my knowledge of who made me/HIM. Secondly, the knowledge of knowing that I was birthed from King's seed, HIS seed, and that kept me intensely driven everyday. Lastly, the fact that I have two young sons, who will one day be able to say, "Wow! Dad endured a lot, to be able to provide for us on such a galactic level. He set the bar high for us, so, we must achieve at a level higher than he did. We have no choice because that's what's expected"
