I am SO glad that I'm not the only person who tends to do this!! I have 3-4 names that I absolutely HATE because of the people I've known with it. It's really hard to give someone a fair chance, when I first meet someone with those names.

I would never name a child Jeffrey. Ever. I would call my son Fido first.
