Sistermadly: Joan's restaurant is still going down the tubes. Maya and Lynn aren't helping matters because they're eating there noon and night without paying the bill. Joan is mad about it but she's a punk and won't confront Maya and Lynn.
Meanwhile, Toni and Todd have agreed not to hire a nanny just yet which will allow them time to bond with the baby. Toni is being "herself" and not allowing Todd to help. All the while the baby is wailing and crying (Toni actually wore earplugs and missed the baby crying throughout the night
).
Fastforward to another night of Joan and Lynn skipping out on the bill, only this time William calls them on their shenanigans. Their response is "Joan doesn't have a problem with it." Finally, after much prodding from William, Joan decides to woman up and tells Maya over the phone how selfish she and Lynn are being.
Behind Todd's back, Toni hires a nanny and has the nanny take the baby in for its two-week checkup. While waiting at the doctor's office for Toni to arrive, Todd confides to Joan that he doesn't think Toni wants the baby.
After talking with Maya about her fear of messing up the baby, Toni sees the light and decides to renew her effort to raise the child. For Todd this is too little too late and he decides to fight for custody of the baby.
