hoosier, to me any item from "fairtax.org" is inherently suspect. I just looked at the website and it's not exactly a government sponsored site or anything. I don't know a lot about this, but I would worry about citing things as fact that are clearly from a biased organization.

Fairtax.org is an advocate, presenting reasons to improve the nation's tax system. I haven't checked the site in much detail - and have gotten most of my info from the author's radio show - but I think they try to answer many frequent questions in the Q&A section.
I trust it more than any "govt. sponsored site."
