I'm not there at the moment but, having grown up there, I can say that we are actually quite a festive people. People just take the Stillers really seriously is all.
BTW, you can't make a blanket statement about the entire state because Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are about as different as two cities can get and still be in the same state.
