Does anyone know if there's an effort to reestablish at Oregon State University? My little sister is planning on going there, and my cousin and I would LOVE to see her go AXiD. We were the first greeks in our family, and the same sorority by pure coinsidence. I had no idea when I became a new members than I was a legacy, lol.

My greek experience was the most life changing I've ever had and I want that for my sister too, but she's set her heart on Oregon state, so there's no chance of getting her interested in Eastern Washington or University of Washington. I'm gonna try and get her to do formal at OSU anyway, but if there was a possibility of getting her into an AXiD chapter, We'd be so happy.

Unfortunately, I doubt that the chapter at OSU will be recolonized anytime soon, if ever. According the Irishpipes' Recruitment thread, the chapter originally colonized in 1919, went off campus in 1964, then was recolonized in 1980 and went off again in 2005. That last recolonization date I believe is inaccurate though as I went down there as a collegian to help with recruitment in the late 1990s, in what I'm pretty sure was a recolonization.

Even if we were to try and recolonize there, the school would have to be open for expansion, which I don't believe they are. So it looks like you may be out of luck with your little sister. Sorry!

Hi ladies! Just wondering if anyone has gotten confirmation that AXiD was not chosen by Drake or Temple? That is what the word is, but you never know. Bummer if it's true.

Also, I saw irishpipes has posted that AXiD is colonizing at University of South Carolina...is that right? I hadn't seen anything on InCircle, but if that is right that would be terrific. Not too far from me. Let me know if anyone has details. Thanks!!

Last I heard, no decision had been made. From what I understand, the last time USC was open for expansion, AXiD was a close second, and was told that the offer would be extended to us the next time the campus was open for expansion. PM me if you want more info.

Any idea what are chances are?

I wish we would try to recolonize some of our inactive chapters. I know sometimes there are HUGE barriers (for instance, I'd love to see UCLA recolonize, but we'd need a house there, and there just isn't one), but still!

It makes me sad sometimes that our percentage of active chapters is so low. When I lead the extension effort at Dartmouth, we definitely looked at how many chapters were inactive for each group. We saw it as a true sign of dedication and strength for a group to keep many of it's original chapters open (and not give up on them).
