Here in "Wide Awake Wylie", Texas (east of Dallas), we're getting a steady northeasterly breeze from the outer bands of Rita; sunset today was an amazing display of high clouds, again courtesy of Rita.

Getting gas in the Dallas area? Hit or miss. The cheaper-priced gas stations all ran outta gas, some of the larger oil companies still had some. Siege mentality has taken over some stores, though it wasn't as bad today as was yesterday. The last-minute turn will probably cause us to dodge the bullet, but I expect the Piney Woods of East Texas and the Ark-La-Tex to get pissed on hard by what's left of Rita this weekend.
