I have to agree that the thing to do is go through rush and see what you like. Go and see everyone, not just the NIC fraternities but also the NPHC groups and those who are local. Find the men that your most relate to. It's great to see that the people on this site love their chapters and the fraternities, but this is a choice that you have to make. Even then, if you go through rush -which can be a pretty harrowing experience - and don't find anything you like, you still have one more option. Find men like you and start your own fraternity. It can be a chapter of a national group or a local group, but it will be a chance for you to truly have a say in that part of our life. I helped found a chapter of Phi Kappa Psi and it was one of the best things to happen in my life. Look up "colonizing" on the chats for more information or go to any national fraternity's website for information
