If you are 2 weeks into nursing and it's painful, there's something not quite right -could be a bad latch or possibly thrush. Need to resolve either item immediately as there's a growth spurt about to happen and if nursing is too painful now, it's going to get worse and you don't want that, lol.
Feel free to email me offline - we had a rough start to our nursing relationship, too, but it did work out well in the end (Avner self-weaned shortly after he turned two). Breastfeeding is a natural process, but learning how to do it is not!
