Very true. However, I would add that it isn't unusual to have the total number of sorority women equal to or often out-number the total number of fraternity men. For example. There may be 600 sorority members and 600 fraternity members total. Yet 6 sorority chapters with each membership around 100 each. And 12 fraternity chapters with around 50 members each.

The bottom line here is that a good advisor should know and understand the differences between all *types* of GLOs. Be they NPC, NIC (IFC), NPHC and any and all other conferences and or GLOs. And how they operate. As such, it may not be appropriate to have the same number of chapters - for each type - as long as the campus *need* is being met.
