Any way that was then and this is now. I can't imagine a sorority or panhellenic organization that would penalize (sp?) you for "GOING TO CLASS." This is the first year for (the school I graduated from) UNA to have formal recruitment to the a week after school starts. And, about 5 of our sisters are in class for the 1st night. That is just how it is. See if you can be at later parties.

I honestly don't know of a school north of the Mason-Dixon line that
doesn't have Recruitment during school!! Let me tell you, it separates the women from the girls!! And, it was our main motivation to get Quota - then, you didn't have to COB the rest of the term!
anaballerina, it's good that you already noticed that your history professor may be "greek-unfriendly" and were able to get your schedule arranged to fit Recruitment. All the best!
