I doubt there are any reliable stats on the subject. But in any event, you're probably correct... I'll bet the vast majority of those who are obese are that way because they over-eat and don't exercise.
But, who are we to judge? My friend gets looks of disgust all of the time. I knew her when she was slim, and before she became sick. It's really sad how society treats her now. She tells me that either people act like she's invisible, or give her dirty looks. It's not her fault she's overweight. She's very ill with a fatal disease.
But she's still the same sweet Nancy I have always known. It's what's inside that counts. She'll always be my friend whether she's 110 pounds or 210 pounds.
