It was said on the live feeds that James hates "The Friendship" so much that he wouldn't even consider joining their group again. I think with comments like Rachel about being the stupidest players in Big Brother history that Rachel, if not Howie, is considering that they made a big mistake nominating them. To get them out of a hole, I would tell James that if he takes himself off the block that they would nominate Maggie and then kick her off. It would be four against four, but then Howie would have to be the tie-breaker. If God for bid Eric comes back I would rather see him in the house with just one (Ivette or Maggie) then both!!
I also agree that this partner thing is worse then everyone to themselves because people are avenging their partners and if you betray one partner you betray both and votes don't swing your way sometimes.
