We used to call our new members "Pearls" also -- then we had to change since AXO is totally serious about the PC thing. I am so glad that when I pledged, I was a P-L-E-D-G-E!!
And I have heard that too about "pledge" is a verb, not a noun -- so I guess that its okay to say "Jane pledged XYZ" but not "Jane is an XYZ pledge" -- ughh! PC sucks!!
