I agree with you somewhat on War of the Worlds. I saw it last night. I really liked the first hour, but the second hour was awful. That is weird cause the most climatic part is gone and you are left with a movie that is trying to find a good place to end. Don't get me started on the ending. Blech.
I heard Steven Spielberg say that he started filming the movie last August. Way too quick. He needed to spend another few months on that ending.
Another movie to add to the list...."A.I."
Just bad. Really disappointing for a Spielberg movie.
