I caught the show like half-way through it so I'm glad I missed what Mike's Dad was saying (or this post would have a different tone to it...)
I agree...I always thought Coral had been a bit (just a bit) too hard on Mike in the first place...I believe this trip has changed Mike's life and he's taking "baby steps" towards being a more tolerant and open-minded individual...Maybe in like a year or two he will go home and when one of his realtives--or even his Dad--says a racist remark he will take a stand against it.
As for Nicole...I used to like her b/c she appeared to be cool--but as we all know looks can be deceiving...
