Our honorary members are inducted on the basis of service to the chapter, dedication to the school, merits of scholarship and purity of heart. Our current advisor (male!) is an "honorary" member. He has been initiated, knows most of the ritual of the sorority, except for one part that he is not permitted to know or experience. Just as his role of advisor,he has a say in the voting/activites of the chapter. I think the advisor before him was also initiated by the girls. I don't remember any RECENT honorary initiation, but I believe that our oldest living founder was officially inducted into Tau Delta (it was Tomo Dachi when she founded it in 1915!) a few years ago, which was really special.
