Which 'burbs?
You can take the LIRR from Long Island or the MetroNorth from Westchester and Connecticut or PATH from NJ.
Grand Central Station is near the 4, 5, 6, & 7 trains.
Penn Station is near the A, C, E, 1, 2, & 3 lines. Take the E to 51/53 St & Lex and transfer to the 6. I
think that is the best route.
