I was thinking the same thing. Did they find a dead body in the store or something? A half a mil for arson? I think not.
I know it's tv and all, but man, they have some of the speediest trials I've ever seen.
I also didn't understand why Bird jumped all over Kenny for being too busy for her. Dang, the man got to support his family.
