It all sounds kosher. Basically everything he wrote was in the welcome speech Past President Sarah Lindsay told us at our baquent (the one with family and friends) so I don't think he is actually in possesstion of anything that is "secret." Although I would like to know what the "changes" of the aim (I'm assuming he means the Purpose) have been.
It does bother me that someone would like to "collect" these things- anything Greek related that isn't from your orgs. While I think other badges are gorgeous, they don't mean anything to them so I have nothing to gain from "owning" them.
