He's under tremendous pressure from his peers(and his audience!) to top himself and I think we'll be hearing that he's checked himself into a hospital for exhaustion or a breakdown.

Interesting theory, Deltaque, and I'm sure there is some pressure. But is it really all that?
I hate it when people compare individual A's situation to individual B's situation and say "why can't A do what B did"...but I'll do it here.
Remember Ced the Entertainer? He rode the wave, blew up large in our community, had a national show which .....didn't bust a grape, comedically. He just went back to being the funniest stand up out there IMO. (I was going to say the funniest comic out there pound-for-pound, but Ced is carrying a few lbs these days
so I'll hold off on that one.)
...but then no one has handed me $50 million yet and said "now be funny" so maybe I'm wrong.
