The Canon Powershot ELPH is a great camera -- 5.0 megapixel (so you get great shots) and it's so tiny you can fit it in your pocket. Bonuses: auto-flash & red-eye reduction, dedicated print/share button, so getting pics is easy, comes in pretty colors.

Casio EXILIM 5.0 - great shots w/ 5.0 megapixels and even skinnier than the Canon ELPH

Fuji FinePix 4.1 - smaller than the above 2 cameras, but costs just as much.. if it were me, I would just go with a 5.0 MP

Sony T-1 5.0 MP is a newer camera, great crisp shots, and a very thin design so you could definitely pop it in a pocket or purse. It also has a great LCD screen to preview pictures or video

There is also a company coming out with a "Flat Photo" (or do they spell it "Foto" ?) camera... supposedly it's really thin, but I dont remember which Mfr. it was from

DXG-305V 5-in-1 Digital Companion—3.3MP Digital Camera, Video Camcorder, MP3 Player, Voice Recorder and PC Camera -- this was a top-selling item not too long ago. If you're looking for versatility, if you don't think you'll need 5 MP, and you want a compact design, I would recommend this one. However, for me -- if I'm going to invest in a new camera, I would go "all out" and invest in a really good one w/ a ton of MP, but that's just me
