Personally I think the "graduate house brick and board" look (that my husband ADORES) is tacky....you should see his office.
What IS it with men, that they think that look is so scholarly, or what?! I was discussing shelving for my little home office with mr. honeychile, and he thought the old bricks & boards were the way to go, too! So far, it's been the one decorating "problem" I've had with him, though, so I shouldn't make such a fuss, I guess.
