Actually, if forced to drink VERY LARGE amounts of any
liquid, even water (especially water!), a person can die.

I remember reading about a fraternity pledge forced to
drink large amounts of water in a short period....it makes
the electrolytes in the body "out of kilter" and causes the
heart to stop (similar to heart attacks in people with
bulimia eating disorder).
