I'm from South Carolina, and though I chose to go out-of-state from college, I know about the Greek Life scenes at USC and Clemson...
Very similar to other large Southern school. There are hundreds upon hundreds of girls who go through rush and of that, many are legacies. It's VERY COMPETITIVE, because they already know girls from their hometowns, high schools, etc who are rushing. I know that for me it was very intimidating when I visited friends...
That being said, if you choose to attend a school like this, DON'T BE SCARED. Be confident in yourself and be real to the chapters. The best way to stand out is to present yourself as a poised, composed, self-assured woman who isn't flaky or fake.
Wherever you go, I hope you find a Greek experience to call your own!
