Someone hit my car this morning

I haven't had my car for 24 hrs and I watched this bitch get into her car this morning, swing open her door, and smack the passenger door of my new mercedes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I ran out there and stopped her and asked her WTF? She ended up saying "FUCK YOU" and peeled out. By the angle I couldn't even get her license plate. I'm filing a police report. I hope this cunt burns in hell.

FUCK, MAN! When I park next to a nice car, I'm EXTRA cautious because I know how much it'll cost to repair it. I watched this girl do it and she plain faced LIED TO ME and said she didn't. I'm so pissed I could spit fire right now.

How big is the dent? Unfortunately, door dings happen all the time. My passenger side door is proof of that. The UCF parking lot is filled with idiots who are physically incapable of opening their doors without smacking into the car next to them.

If the dent isn't too big, you can buy one of those dent kits online for about $20 to $40. It does a pretty good job of removing door dings.

The total area thats is damaged is probably the size of a tangerine (sp?)/baby orange. Think one of those kits could work?

A dent kit should be able to remove a lot of the dent if not all. The kits have plunger things in all different sizes and I know it has one about the size of a tangerine. I had to use that one for when my father hit his lawn mower when he backed my car out of the driveway. The dent kits can't remove really deep dents or huge dents caused by a bigger accident.

Where do you buy them? And do they come in different sizes for different sized dents? Right now anything would be better than taking it to a shop. From owning a foreign car like the one I have in the past, I swear to god those idiots fix one thing but always end up loosening something else so that you have to come back later and spend more money.

People like that need to be subjected to people just like them for extended periods of time. They'd either mend their ways, or kill each other off. Either way, we all win.

I had a girl in a company van pull out in front of me from a meter space 2 days ago. I couldn't really avoid her and hit her on her driver's side door. Unfortunately for me, I was driving my boss' Denali when I did that.. The girl was professional as heck, we ended up waiting 2 hours for a cop to show up and do his report, she admitted fault, and we were on our way...

Ended up that we had used this company a couple of times. The owner called yesterday, was professional as heck, told us his adjustor was going to get right on it, and even thanked us for his business.

So I guess not everything sucks about living in the "heartland".

Do you guys have a Dr Dent type person there--- they do dent removals too--without bondo and that crap. I believe they use giant suction cup things-- kind of like the kit ZTAngel is talking about-- I believe they charge about $50 -100 per dent.

For a scratch-- how deep-- surface or down to the metal-- if it is surface-- get some Turtle Wax Polishing Compound --- it's red colored- looks gross but removes sratches!


Lets see did this chic drive a piece of shit car--- that always seems to be how it works. Or people who let their kids open their car doors-- kids don't get it--- I still keep the damn child locks on- not so my kids won't jump out of the car at high rates of speed- but so they won't fling a door open and ding someone!

A dent kit should do the trick. Don't take your car to a Mercedes dealership - they will want to replace the whole door.

This is why I always try to park next to a newer or nicer car than mine. I figure the owners will be careful when opening their doors and pulling out of the spot, not for the sake of my car, but so that their car doesn't get scratched up.

Yup. That's what I'm talking about. The suction cups look almost like tiny toilet plungers. I didn't pay $50 for the kit though but, then again, I bought one of the smaller kits. You can find it online. Just type in dent removal or something into a search engine.
As for the paint, I don't have a solution for that other than buying some touch up paint at the dealership. I heard there's some kind of wax out there you can buy that will touch up areas that are missing paint but I have no idea of the name and if it works well.

I use this strategy too. It works really well, until the really nice car moves and an SUV with kids in the back seat takes its place. (Someone got my one week old brand new car too!)

i saw something on qvc a couple of months ago about popping out dents using magnets and twisting motions. i think it was called pop-a-dent. and, if you had ordered within the two hours they were going to throw in a scratch remover for free.
