I recently got into a minor catfight at a store because I laughed at the $270 price tag on the "handbag that looks like it should be carrying diapers & formula". Just because it has "somebody's" name on it, doesn't mean I couldn't make the same thing!
Although, I admit that I did date a guy a bit longer than I would normally have done, because he let me drive his classic 'Vette.
I don't see that as shallow so much as an opportunist streak I had in me at the time!
