This sounds like an interesting idea for an annual fundraiser; I can see a greek group using it successfully as long as they have all their liability bases covered (wristbands, etc.). No actual "race day logistics" obviously.....
The annual .2K Run, Walk, Crawl will be Sunday, April 3rd, 2pm to 6pm at Pok-e-Jo's Smokehouse at 1603 West 5th Street. You must purchase a wristband for this event in order to attend. Wristbands will be sold at the door - $15.00 per person. You can purchase them in advance at a discounted price through Front Gate Tickets. All proceeds benefiting SIMS Foundation. Choose Austin First is a group dedicated to promoting Austin-based businesses and this is our flagship event. Sunday, April 3rd is our
Second Annual .2k "As far as you can run without spilling your beer". The event raises money for the SIMS Foundation and was super fun last year, so we have high hopes this year. For a mere $10 ($15 at the door), you get access to great music, free food, 50 local vendors and reasonably priced drinks. It will be held at Poke E Jo's on 5th Street, from 2pm until 6pm.
