I think you're right about the fact that it's currently just a chapter thing, because I know a lot of Sigmas still go by Tri Sig. HOWEVER, crazyleggedsigma is absolutely correct when she says that we do not like to go by Tri Sig. As a whole organization, we are trying to get away from that nickname. Apparently there is a gay fraternity that calls itself Tri Sig and although we've been around much longer, we're trying to get away from the nickname because we don't want to be confused with another organization. Tri Sigma would be the correct nickname.
