Can you explain to me a little bit further? I don't think it is YOUR choice to just responde rather than to react, I think it is something that got inappropriately "engrained" into your psyche while growing up that you never knew existed...
At least you are willing to admit you've got to work it out and you are doing so... But the feeling I am getting from you is, that you feel like you "failed" to protect your "your loved one"...
So my question is how come you feel that way and what would lead you to think that is okay?

Can you please elaborate? Because I am trying to understand this... Many in the "sistah's circle" who date outside of the box are NOT thinking this way... Brothaman who dates and has sex with white chicks happens all the time where I live... Sistahs get pissed off because we think black man lost his DAYUM mind and has "purposes" for dating "Snowflake"... And it ain't about "freaky, kinky sex"... It's more about "mackin' the hoe" or "pimpin' dat biatch"... As my friend says, that's one less person to think about at Christmastime...
I know plenty of sistahs into the Erotica... Like the Las Vegas Dungeon stuff or full on pornography... But, they almost always ultra suppressed because historically, African American woman have been deemed "asexual"--even after having children that are grown... Black women are suppose to NOT have sexual desires as we are told--right after some of us have had "teenage births"... Which saddens me, because that means what I am hearing is that I cannot be seen as sensual or sexy, ever!
