My aunt, who is from Baton Rouge, told me that she knows some of Tyler's family and they told her that he was from the NO, too.
So maybe he was born in the NO and moved to ATL at a young age or vice versa. Who knows?
BTW, I saw the movie. It was really good. The guy who plays her husband was LOW DOWN. He had a DAYUM good wife. I don't care if he did go to the front of the church and asked to be saved, she should have left him in that house STANKIN!
Then again, I guess by helping him, she was able to get over him and move on. I liked the ending. It reminded me of OFFICER AND A GENTLEMEN.
