Don't even get me started on high school mascots. A town in my hometowns district is called "Frost" and their the polar bears. An other town is named "Brr" and they are the blizzards. Don't forget the Hutto Hippos, whos mascot is a big purple hippo with long eyelashes and red lips. Scares me to death. The town where I live now are the Yellowjackets, which is pretty common, but the girls are the Honeybees. very scary.

And now for my alma mater, Hubbard High School. We are the only school in Texas using the mascot the Jaguar, but the funny thing is that I have never heard anyone outside our football district pronounce it right. It's pronounced Jag-ger, like Mick Jagger, and you will get beaten up if you try to tell us otherwise. The funny thing is, that someone actually found a dictionary that listed that pronunciation, so it is blown up and plastered all over our school and town.
