OU -- you only need a PULSE to get in (ETA: No offense to the highly intelligent AlphaSigOU)
Thank you, Amy! Actually, I'm a dropout from OU, who majored back then in partying! However, I've 'earned' my Ph.D (Piled Higher and Deeper) from the University of Hard Knocks.

Back when I was an undergrad, it was relatively easy to get into OU; it's much more difficult these days. It ain't just USC where you're buying your degree... it's everywhere you go. Unless you are competitive enough to get a free ride (with strings attached) to the service academies or are academically or athletically talented to earn a scholarship, we're all standing in line at the bursar's office at the beginning of every semester, writing a check for tuition or putting yourself in debt with student loans.

To k* - word of friendly advice from one Sooner to another... resist the temptation of the easy gamble, whether sports or any other form of gambling. It's way too easy to get in over your head putting money 'where the action is'. The Vegas oddsmakers blew it, expecting a close game. (They had USC at -1 shortly before kickoff, according to my younger brother, who's a casino supervisor (boxman/floorman) in Vegas.)

Having once lived in Las Vegas, where there's a slot or video poker machine on every corner, it's entirely too easy to fork over a paycheck in the minute hope of coming in for a windfall. Play long enough, and eventually the casino's odds will grind out your winnings to nothing.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the occasional play at the slots and the tables, but I learned a hard lesson - never play with 'scared money', that is, NEVER play with money you can't afford to lose. If you happen to be lucky and hit a jackpot, more power to ya, but realize for every jackpot millions more have sunk in money and gotten little or nothing in return. Those little tokens and chips may not look like much, but inside the casino it's the equivalent of cold, hard cash, which are technically worthless once you leave the casino without cashing them. (I have a small collection of $1 and $5 chips from Vegas casinos.)

Anyway, my two cents' worth, before taxes take 'em all away.
