This is kinda off the subject, but I thought I would tell it anyway. Last year, during work week, I went to this party with a few of my sisters. This guy that lived there took a liking to me. He told me that he wanted a girl's opinion on how to decorate his bedroom, so I should come look at it with him! I really wonder if he thought this was being slick. I still laugh about it though.
Another time, I was chilling at this apartment with a few sisters and the guys that lived there. One of them told me he just got a really cool new poster, and I had to come to his room to see it. I should have told him he wasn't very original (see above).
Cory, you are much more respectable for posting on here, because you obviously have pure intentions. I think plants are cool. I know they require a bit of work, but they really give your room a nice feel. Maybe if you got a little cactus or something, I think those are pretty low maintenence.
It seems like every frat boy I know has either a lava lamp or blacklight, so I would avoid that. It looks to much like you are trying to create mood lighting. Also, all those beer posters are just kinda silly.
Plants, though, go with the plants. I promise they will make you happy.
