I've been reading TWOP forums as well. Someone mentioned that the hole could be a bullet hole. And I've heard cases of toddlers getting ahold of guns and accidentally misfiring.
But something also to remember is that Zach (in his confession to Julie) said he walked in to find blood
after he heard his parents yelling and he heard his name and Dana's name.
I also read a crazy theory that the dead adult is the "real" Mary Alice.
